Sinopsis

This study explores the potential of nettle fibers as a natural reinforcing material for polymer composites, leveraging their high cellulose content and tenacity. Nettle fibers are combined with filler material and resin to fabricate composites, which are then tested for mechanical and thermal behavior. The results show that filler percentage modifications improve the fiber/matrix interphase bonding, enhancing the composite?s tensile and flexural strength. Chitosan fiber is used as an eco-friendly filler to improve the thermal stability of the composite. The study demonstrates the potential of nettle fiber composites for automobile, aircraft panel, and precision tools applications, offering a natural, sustainable, and eco-friendly alternative to traditional composite materials. The use of chitosan fiber as an eco-friendly filler further enhances the thermal stability of the composite, making it a promising material for various industrial applications.
